I take the time to get to know your musical tastes and wishes. Then…
I Produce
I will help you create a Vision for the best production (arrangement) for your song according to your tastes and ideas. Working together, with consistent feedback from you, I will bring that Vision to life. My arsenal includes, but is not limited to:
Mix
Working together and with the help of your favourite songs as reference tracks, we will create a Vision for what your mix (and separate tracks like vocals, guitars etc) should sound like. With your feedback, I will mix your song according to that Vision.
If you need it, I will edit your vocals and instruments (pitch/timing correction) in the process.
I will also make an instrumental version of your song, if you are looking into offering your song(s) up for advertisement purposes or syncing opportunities.
& Master
And now you are a freaking music ninja
All songs are co-produced, mixed and mastered by me
I’ve done a couple songs with him, and he completely took them to higher level with his mix/master job. I’m always impressed by how he fills in the gaps in my songs during the post production process: he has a natural feel for music. Danny truly puts the music first and is very patient and encouraging. I feel very comfortable expressing exactly how I feel during the mix revision process, and Danny is quick to nail the edits to fit my taste.
His planning/feedback system is organized, his mix adjustments are always lightning fast and he consistently went above and beyond to get the songs sounding as good as possible, giving me a lot of advice, as well as helping out with some drum production. I’ll definitely be working with Danny again.

If you are wondering why anyone would call their business “CarrotCake”, I’ll tell you. CAKE RULES THE WORLD! It’s that simple.
I was born in Ukraine. I think my mum caught me lip-syncing and dancing to the radio songs once or twice, so she sent me to the music school to learn how to play saxophone. There was one problem, the saxophone was as tall as I was. So, I started off with a flute, later upgraded to clarinet and after five years dropped it all, because blowing into things wasn’t how it was supposed to go down for me.
I had three best friends. One of them was kind of rich, the other one was handsome, the last one was strong. I knew I needed my own thing if I wanted to get any of the girls to kiss me. So, at the age of twelve, I started playing guitar.
My love affair with music may have begun for the wrong reason, but it did not take long for that affair to turn into a truly passionate relationship. Soon after, I started singing when I realised that playing guitar alone made little sense to me.
When I was 17, my family moved to Munich, Germany. Sitting in the moving van, I heard “The A Team” on the radio. At that moment, I asked myself how can it be that a mortal could write such a beautiful song. I’d never heard anything like it before. I was hooked, and from that moment on the thoughts of a life dedicated to music wouldn’t leave me be.
I dropped out of the 12th grade in a technical high school, mostly because back then I couldn’t understand German, but I told myself it was because I wanted to do something with music.
Soon after, I applied for one of the three “singer”-places at a private Jazz/Pop/Rock college here in Munich, and being the talented bastard that I am (*boo*), I got in. It turned out to be a hardcore full-time music education. I learned arrangement, choir and band conducting, music theory and history, recording and mixing, music production, guitar, piano and singing. Gosh, with the overload on school subjects, I didn’t see the sun for two years!
After school I continued learning Production and Mixing in Logic Pro X. After a while it hit me: why not work with other artists, share my skill and knowledge and help them get professionally sounding tracks?
It just makes me happy. If I was rich, I guess I’d do it for free. But a man must eat, right? Must eat carrot cakes.
And here we are.
